Animators (Past & Present)

You will be creating and illustrating a timeline of your animator’s life that will incorporate the Elements of Art (Line, Color, Shape and Form).

So your first step is to perform some research on your animator. Answer the following prompts and create a bullet point, double spaced and typed timeline of your animator’s life. (Use the Google form that has been provided.)

Here are some things to consider:

  • Date (Month, Date, Year) & place of birth
  • Education / Jobs
  • Entry into an animation career
  • Major influences or legacy he/she is know for
  • Death (if he or she has passed)

After you have completed the your typed OUTLINE of your animator.  Submit it through Google classroom.

You will then get a piece of paper from Mrs. C and create a visual timeline that represent your animator.

  • Create a 1” border on the outer edges of your paper.
  • Place your animator’s name (large) on the paper.
  • You need a minimum of 3 characters that your animator created.
  • You must ink your project with a Sharpie.
  • Erase pencil lines.
  • You must color your characters using markers.
  • Consider the placement of your illustrations, the color, the placement of the information and legible handwriting.

For instance if you choose Tex Avery as your animator, you might consider drawing Daffy Duck on one side of the paper and Bugs Bunny with Porky Pig on the opposite side. You would then place the “timeline” in the middle of these two characters.
